Your new home could be near a modern gin and whiskey distillery. About 11km south of Sorell at Forcett, Nonesuch is yet another of Tasmania's new breed of hooch-makers, bottling up dry gin, sloe gin and sloe malt whisky (sloe being a purple-black berry fruit, something akin to a juniper). Open sporadically; call ahead to arrange a visit.

Do you love surfing, family picnics, walking, jogging and other water activities? Located 14km from Sorell is Seven Mile Beach. It is a popular beach and the closest surfing beach to Hobart. Seven Mile Beach is 10km (7 miles) long, facing south east, curving round to face south to south west at the eastern Sandy Point end.
