Tasmania Zoo exhibits the largest collection of rare, exotic, and native species in Tasmania, exhibits the second largest collection of primates in any private Australian Zoo and is the only zoo in Australasia to exhibit the Celebes Crested Macaque.

Some of these animals are unable to be returned to the wild, so as you walk around the zoo, you will meet many of them who all have their very own unique stories. Tasmania Zoo is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association, we work closely with all Australasian zoos, and are involved in various species management programs.
